Jake Bollman Shows Road Course Growth with Top-Five Finish at Lime Rock Park

Jake Bollman continued to showcase his development as a road course racer this past weekend, turning in one of his strongest road racing performances of the season with a fifth-place finish in the ARCA Menards Series race at Lime Rock Park.

After gaining valuable seat time earlier this year in Nitro Motorsports' TA2 program, Bollman arrived at Lime Rock with noticeably more confidence and experience than he displayed at the season's first road course event at Watkins Glen. That growth was evident from the moment the No. 20 Toyota hit the track.

Bollman qualified fourth for the 68-lap event, putting himself in prime position to battle near the front on the 1.53-mile, seven-turn road course. Starting from the second row, he immediately settled into the lead group and spent the afternoon racing among the series' top competitors.

The early stages of the race featured intense battles for position, and Bollman briefly found himself at the front of the field after a restart. For several laps, the No. 20 Nitro Motorsports Toyota led the race, highlighting the speed the team had brought to Lime Rock and the progress Bollman has made on road courses over the past several months.

As the race unfolded, Bollman continued to run inside the top five while managing tire wear and navigating traffic around the tight Connecticut circuit. Although he eventually relinquished the lead, he remained in contention throughout the afternoon and never fell far from the front-running group. The ability to consistently match the pace of the leaders marked a significant improvement from Watkins Glen earlier in the season, where he was still learning the nuances of ARCA road course racing.

When the checkered flag flew, Bollman crossed the finish line in fifth place, earning another top-five finish and another valuable points day in the ARCA Menards Series championship. The result allowed him to maintain the series points lead while continuing one of the most consistent rookie campaigns in the garage.

One of the biggest storylines from the weekend was Bollman's continued growth on road courses. Earlier this season, he gained valuable experience competing in Nitro Motorsports' TA2 program, including a rain-soaked race at Lime Rock Park just weeks before the ARCA event. That additional seat time has clearly translated into improved confidence under braking, smoother corner exits, and better race management on technical circuits.

For Bollman and the Nitro Motorsports team, Lime Rock represented another important step in an already impressive 2026 season. Not only did the No. 20 Toyota deliver another strong finish, but the weekend also showed that the experience gained across multiple racing disciplines continues to pay dividends. Bollman continues to hold the points lead heading into Indianapolis Raceway Park on July 24th.
