Jake Bollman delivered another impressive performance in the 2026 ARCA Menards Series championship battle Sunday at the DuQuoin State Fairgrounds, driving the No. 20 Nitro Motorsports Toyota to a second-place finish in the Audubon Park 100.

Bollman entered the second and final dirt race of the ARCA season with the championship lead and faced another unique challenge on the historic DuQuoin mile. After finishing sixth at the Illinois State Fairgrounds a few weeks prior, the goal was to put together another clean, efficient race and protect his position in the championship standings.

Bollman qualified fifth for the 100-lap event, putting the No. 20 Toyota inside the top five for the start. He and the Nitro Motorsports team showed strong speed throughout the weekend, finishing fourth in practice before qualifying fifth.

Once the race got underway, Bollman remained focused on maintaining track position and avoiding the trouble that can quickly develop on the dirt surface. The race featured seven cautions for 39 laps, creating several opportunities for the field to bunch back together and making restarts particularly important.

As the race progressed, Bollman worked his way into position to challenge for the podium. The No. 20 Toyota remained competitive through the changing dirt conditions. The closing stages provided plenty of drama, with the lead changing hands and multiple cars battling for position. Bollman positioned himself near the front and was able to capitalize on the late-race action, ultimately crossing the finish line second.

The runner-up finish was especially significant for Bollman's championship campaign. After a sixth-place finish at Springfield earlier in the year, he successfully navigated both dirt races on the 2026 schedule with strong points finishes. ARCA's post-race notes confirmed that Bollman extended his championship advantage to eight points with just three races remaining.

The result also matched Bollman's career-best ARCA finish. He previously finished second at Daytona, Michigan, and Elko earlier this season, and DuQuoin gave him another opportunity to demonstrate his consistency against a highly competitive field. With three races remaining, the championship battle has reached its most important stage. Bollman now holds an eight-point advantage heading into the final stretch of the season, giving the No. 20 Nitro Motorsports team a strong position as they chase the ARCA Menards Series championship.

The next stop is Salem Speedway, where Bollman will look to continue his remarkable run of consistency and add another strong result to his championship résumé.
