Jake Bollman Overcomes Late-Race Setback to Finish Fourth at Pocono Raceway

Jake Bollman continued his strong 2026 ARCA Menards Series campaign with another impressive performance at Pocono Raceway, battling near the front throughout the afternoon before bringing home a fourth-place finish in the ARCA 150.

Known as the "Tricky Triangle," Pocono Raceway presents one of the most unique challenges in motorsports. With three distinct corners, long straightaways, and heavy braking zones, drivers must balance speed, patience, and precision over every lap. Bollman and the No. 20 Nitro Motorsports Toyota proved they had the pace to compete with the frontrunners from the moment they unloaded.

After qualifying eighth, Bollman started the 60-lap event from inside the top ten and immediately began working his way forward through the field. The Nitro Motorsports team brought a fast race car to the two-and-a-half-mile speedway, allowing Bollman to steadily gain positions and establish himself as a contender early in the race.

As the event progressed, strategy and track position became increasingly important. Following the scheduled race break, Bollman found himself running in second place and firmly in the hunt for one of the best finishes of his season. The No. 20 Toyota showed excellent long-run speed, and Bollman remained among the leaders as the laps clicked away.

With less than ten laps remaining, Bollman was still running second and appeared poised for a runner-up finish. However, while navigating lap traffic, contact with a lap car disrupted his momentum and shuffled the No. 20 machine backward in the running order. Despite the setback, Bollman maintained control and continued pushing forward through the closing laps.

When the checkered flag flew, Bollman crossed the finish line in fourth place, securing another top-five finish and adding another strong points day to an already impressive season. While the late-race incident ultimately cost him a chance at finishing second, the performance further demonstrated the speed, consistency, and resilience that have made the No. 20 team a weekly contender.

The result was another important step in Bollman's championship campaign. Throughout the season, he has consistently put himself in position to contend for top finishes, and Pocono was no different. On one of the most challenging tracks on the ARCA schedule, Bollman once again showed the ability to race at the front and maximize his opportunities.

For Bollman and Nitro Motorsports, the weekend served as another reminder of the team's potential. The No. 20 Toyota displayed race-winning speed throughout the afternoon, and despite the late-race adversity, the team was able to salvage a strong finish and valuable championship points.
