Jake Bollman continued his impressive 2026 ARCA Menards Series campaign with another podium finish this past weekend, driving the No. 20 Nitro Motorsports Toyota to a second-place finish at Elko Speedway.

The high-banked 3/8-mile oval provided another demanding test for the ARCA Menards Series field, with track position and tire management proving to be the deciding factors throughout the 250-lap event. After unloading with speed during the weekend, Bollman backed it up in qualifying by securing the third starting position, putting the No. 20 team in excellent position before the green flag even waved.

From the start of the race, Bollman established himself as one of the fastest cars on the track. Remaining inside the top five for the entire event, he consistently matched the pace of the race leader and kept himself in contention through every restart.

On short runs, the No. 20 Toyota was among the strongest cars in the field. Bollman was able to stay within striking distance of the lead and repeatedly challenged during restarts, showcasing the speed and handling the Nitro Motorsports team brought to Elko Speedway.

As the race settled into longer green-flag runs, however, the balance of the car began to shift. While Bollman continued turning consistent laps, the No. 20 lacked the long-run speed needed to close the gap and mount a serious challenge for the victory. Despite the slight disadvantage over extended runs, Bollman never lost touch with the front of the field and continued maximizing every lap.

Throughout the afternoon, the Nitro Motorsports team executed a clean, mistake-free race. Strong communication, solid race strategy, and consistent pace allowed Bollman to maintain track position while avoiding the mistakes that can often decide short-track races.

When the checkered flag flew, Bollman crossed the finish line in second place, earning another podium finish and another outstanding points day in the ARCA Menards Series championship battle. The runner-up result continued a remarkable stretch of consistency that has kept the No. 20 team among the series' top contenders throughout the 2026 season.

Although the team came just one position short of Victory Lane, the performance demonstrated once again that Bollman and Nitro Motorsports have the speed to compete for wins every weekend. Running near the front from start to finish and finishing just behind the race winner highlighted both the strength of the program and Bollman's continued development behind the wheel.

For Bollman, Elko Speedway marked another important step in what has been a breakout rookie campaign. Qualifying third, maintaining a position near the front throughout the race, and finishing second added another impressive result to an already outstanding season.

As the ARCA Menards Series schedule continues, the No. 20 Nitro Motorsports team carries valuable momentum into the next race weekend. With another podium finish and continued race-winning speed, Bollman remains firmly in the championship fight and continues to establish himself as one of the brightest young talents in stock car racing.
